BIFF IV THROUGH
THE ROOF!

BOULDER - Long  lines and sold-out theaters were the rule last weekend as the fourth annual Boulder International Film Festival topped last year's record attendance by a whopping 70%.

"This year, we had opened a third theater venue at the 900-seat Boulder High Theater to handle some of the crowds." said BIFF Director Robin Beeck, "But with nearly 14,000 tickets sold, all three theaters were often overwhelmed at the same time."

"It takes a pretty good film to sell out a 900-seat theater," Festival Director Kathy Beeck said, "But this year it happened time after time, even Opening and Closing nights."

"Every year, we're proud to show off Boulder's huge, film-savvy audiences to visiting haute-cinema filmmakers, most of whom are not accustomed to walking out on stage [after their film is shown] to face eight to nine hundred cheering, stomping film fans." Kathy Beeck added.

To help BIFF become more competitive in our quest for sponsorships through larger grants and foundations, we are asking your help by completing a survey about the festival on www.gofilmfest.com . A professional, third-party demographic survey is a vital next step in the future long-term funding of the Boulder International Film Festival, and a large response from BIFF fans right now will help immeasurably.

The results of this survey will help improve and expand our operations and programs as BIFF continues its remarkable growth, and, of course, your specific feedback will remain private.

Additionally...by completing the survey...you will be entered to win (2) passes to BIFF 2009 and also (2) passes offered by GoFilmFest.com to another festival via their monthly drawing! The surveys should take just a couple of minutes. Survey
