Two million people attended film festivals last year, according to the most recent  filmBUZZ Annual Report. Most lived in close proximity to the festival, and most were "prototypical influencers" of their peers, family, and community.
        
    THE BOULDER INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL
will be presented each President's Day Weekend by the Colorado Film Society, a non-profit organization celebrating film.          
    During four days of screenings, workshops, panels, and parties, BIFF 2008 will present the best of the new films in international cinema, with the intention to earn recognition for our city among the millions of patrons of fine film arts throughout the world.
         The Colorado Film Society Awards Night will be the star-studded premier presentation of  the festival, and Boulder's most-exciting, well-publicized film event of the year.
         Becoming a Sponsor of the Boulder International Film Festival provides an opportunity for a corporation to benefit from exposure to a highly desirable demographic in a wide variety of media, including newspaper advertisements, festival posters, program guides, in-theater signage, branded events hosted by the sponsor, and special promotions and sales using the BIFF name.

    BIFF 2007 raised $250,000 in contributions from local Boulder business-sponsors for its third annual festival.
    "The sponsors were very happy with the marketing results," said Kathy Beeck, Festival Director.
     "We were able to deliver well over a hundred-thousand impressions of each sponsor's logo to the highly-educated, high-income demographic that film festivals normally attract.
    "That includes a 65,000 distribution of our Film Program as an insert in the Sunday Boulder Daily Camera, plus an additional 20,000 distribution in free newsstands throughout the county." Kathy said.
    "Also, there were 5,000 sponsor-logo impressions directly to this desirable (and captive) demographic in the Theater-trailer played before each of the 20 film programs," Beeck continued, "along with many thousands of other brand-impressions from both our very popular website and the huge amount of publicity generated in local and metro-wide media."
