The City of Longmont Gang Response and Intervention Program (GRIP) would like to suggest the following actions to help you get involved with the issues discussed in the film Down For Life:
- Listen To Kids and Their Needs
- Respect them.
- Follow through with your promises.
- Talk about future goals and assist them in creating plans.
- Empower youth.
- Educate Yourself Around Gang Issues.
- Learn about the symbols gang members use:

- Learn about the different resources in the community.
- Never ignore gang issues.
- Clean up graffiti ASAP.
- Learn about the symbols gang members use:
- Volunteer Your Time
- Become a youth mentor or sponsor.
- Get to know the youth in your community.
- Teach youth positive qualities to live by.
- Play sports with local youth agencies.
- Financial Contributions
- Support the Gang Response Intervention and Prevention Program
(GRIP) by making financial contributions to the Friends of
Longmont Youth Center.
