Community - Boulder International Film Festival

Community

The Colorado Film Society (CFS) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization whose mission is to encourage and celebrate the art of film by creating a dynamic forum for artistic, social and cultural awareness in the community.

Year-round programs of the Colorado Film Society include:

The Boulder International Film Festival (BIFF), offering audiences a unique opportunity to see films from all corners of the world and to learn from a diverse group of filmmakers.

The CFS Educational Outreach Program, encouraging positive teen development by involving, inspiring and enlightening youth with a diverse cultural film experience. This program involves our Youth Advisory Council in planning free film screenings at schools and at the BIFF Youth Pavilion during the Festival.

The CFS Senior Outreach Program, engaging area seniors by offering free admissions for low income seniors and senior centers to the Festival, and screening BIFF films at local senior centers throughout the year.

The Call 2 Action Program, promoting widespread community involvement by partnering with local nonprofit organizations to co-present a film in the Festival program, as well as providing audience members with the opportunity to translate energy into action on important issues.

BIFF 2014 included a new program called Global Town Hall, a groundbreaking interactive event uniting technology, people and meaningful issues.
